'Global SwitchMaster™' is the new modular multiswitch range designed by Global Communications (UK) Ltd., the worlds leading manufacturer of high performance switches & multiswitches.

The Global SwitchMaster™ range can be used within both small & large systems, either in a star or cascade configuration.

In either a cascade or a star type system the required multiswitches are fed from a Global SwitchMaster™ launch amplifier (SM55LA). Depending on precise system losses you can feed between 4 & 6 SwitchMaster™ multiswitches from each Launch Amplifier.

In a star system you would simply plug the relevant units together along with the Launch Amplifier or strings of Multiswitches & Amplifiers to gain the required number of outputs.

In a cascade system typically you would have trunk cables dropping from floor to floor. At each floor you would have a multiswitch or combination of switches (6 & 8 outputs) that would give you the required number of outputs. Large cascade systems can be achieved by either splitting the feeds from the Quattro LNB so creating sub-systems or through re-launching & re-cascading or a combination of both.

Each system or sub-system (Launch Amplifier & Multiswitches) requires power from the Global SMPSU either directly or remotely via a coax cable to any Multiswitch or the Launch Amplifier within the group.
