The Power Pack is required in situations where an amplifier is being used without a Sky set-top box. Used in conjunction with a DC Inserter (see on line shop/accessories at tvlink.co.uk) the "Power Pack" can supply voltage, up a coaxial cable, to an amplifier in the loft space where no power is available.
