The Global Communications Equaliser (EQA-5) has been designed to combine 5 UHF (460-860MHz) inputs typically form digiboxes into a SMATV launch amplifier. Each input is first amplified then attenuated via a variable attenuator before being combined and again amplified and attenuated as a combined signal.

The EQA-5 is supplied via an external 12v DC supply and provides two separate combined outputs, one output is for use as a test monitoring point and the other for use within the SMATV headend.
