The dip1 splitting diplexer is normally used indoors to separate satellite and TV. It employs high isolation filters to prevent interference between the satellite and TV. The satellite DC is fed through the Diplexer to the combining diplexer dip1, dip2, dip2-dc.

The dip2 has high isolation to prevent the satellite LNB noise interferring with the terrestrial signals or harmonics of the terrestrial signals. For systems using a VHF or UHF amplifier powered through the coax, the dip2-dc should be used. This supplies a 12V, 100mA max supply to the terrestrial input. The current for both the satellite LNB and the terrestrial amplifier is supplied by the satellite receiver. DIP2 & DIP2-DC are designed for the harsh outside environment.
